USED TO ( /juːstuː/
) se utiliza para hablar de
hábitos o sucesos del pasado que ya no ocurren en este
momento. Por ejemplo:
My brother
used to smoke
Mi hermano antes
fumaba
A la hora de hacer
preguntas con esta estructura (¿Mi hermano fumaba
antes?) existen dos formas:
-La primera es
formal y bastante rara:
Used my
brother to smoke?
-La segunda es
informal y más utilizada:
Did my
brother use to smoke?
Esta es la
estructura que vamos a utilizar. Así ante el estímulo:
My brother doesn't smoke
anymore
(Mi hermano ya
no fuma)
preguntaremos:
Did my brother
use to smoke?
(¿Fumaba antes
mi hermano?)
