La expresión
verbal TO GET RID OF se traduce generalmente por
"deshacerse de", con estas dos posibilidades:
1- to get rid
of (something) con el significado de deshacerse
de algo (tirarlo) y también con el significado de
olvidarse de algo (obviarlo o dejarlo de lado).
2- to get rid
of (somebody) con el significado de librarse,
deshacerse o quitarse de encima a alguien.
